Having been born in Pembrokeshire, where she started her legal career, Ruth worked for a number of firms in Bournemouth, before joining Mustoe Shorter Solicitors & Advocates in 2003. She is married with a young family.

Simon Brimacombe qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and has been with the firm since 2006. He became a Partner in 2009. He specialises in Childcare Law.

Lee Christmas is a criminal law specialist with over 17 years of experience. He became a Partner in 2013 and is head of the Criminal Law Department.

Tim Shorter has been a Solicitor for nearly 40 years and a Solicitor Advocate for 20 years. He deals mainly with serious crime, regularly appearing as a defence Advocate cases in the Crown Court including trials for murder, armed robbery, drugs offences, assaults, fraud, and sex crimes. David Coombe qualified as a Solicitor in 1970, and has practised in South Dorset since 1972, and in Weymouth since 1978.
